At the N edge of a plateau. Raised rectangular and grass-covered area (dims 47.8m N-S; 30.6m E-W) defined by earthen banks (Wth 3.7-6.5m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.8m generally to 1.7m at N), with slight traces of a fosse or moat (Wth of base 2-3.3m; D 0.1-0.2m) on all sides except the W. There is no identifiable original entrance. Its W side is aligned with a N-S field bank of field system (RO028-079---) and relict field banks approach the NW and SE angles. Cashel (RO028-083----) is c. 50m to the NW.
