Visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M, 65-6), and situated in a shallow basin that is frequently flooded. A grass and rush-covered carriageway (Wth c. 9m; L c. 500m) is bordered by an earthen bank at W (Wth 2m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.3m) and E (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.1m) with internal ditches (Wth 1.8-2m; D 0.1-0.2m). The road is running N-S from the traditional site of Milltown House (RO027-087----) at S end towards Castleplunket village, but it stops c. 200m from the Main St.
