What is recorded here

On the crest of a slight NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 54m E-W; 52.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.3-5.7m; int. H 0.1m generally to 0.7m at E; ext. H 0.5m generally to 1.2m ENE-SE) and outer fosse (Wth of top 7.2-10.2m; Wth of base 3.7-5m; D 0.2m generally to 0.7m ENE-SE). There is a house site (RO027-017003-) (ext. dims 13.4m NW-SE; 5.8m NE-SW) defined by a stone spread just N of the centre where there is a subrectangular cairn (RO027-017008-) (dims 4.2m N-S; 2m E-W; H 0.3m) with a small standing stone (RO027-017005-) (dims 0.7m E-W; 0.3m N-S; H 0.7m) just to its E. There is a second house site (RO027-017008-) (dims 12m WNW-ESE; 5.7m NNE-SSW) defined by wall-footings on all sides except the S inside the perimeter of the rath at S. There is no identifiable original entrance, but a quarry has damaged the perimeter at NE. Building (RO027-017002-) is immediately outside the fosse at SW.
