What is recorded here

On a slight N-S ridge at the summit of Mewlaghadooey Hill. Circular, grass-covered flat-topped earthen mound (diam. of base 27m N-S; 25.5m E-W; diam. of top 9.8m N-S; 8.8m E-W; H 3.1m at E to 4m at W) with a slight pit (diam. 5.5m; D 0.2m) on the summit. It is within the hillfort (RO027-014001-), SW of the centre. Given its prominent position and its size, it might contain a passage tomb. See the attached ground (003) and aerial (008) views both taken from the NE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
