What is recorded here

Indicated as a small copse only on the 1929 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located at the crest of a SW-facing slope. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 19m N-S; 19m E-W) defined by slight traces of an earthen bank with whitethorn bushes (Wth 1-1m; H 0.1-0.4m), which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) at S. It is probably a landscape feature. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
