What is recorded here

Towards the bottom of a gentle SW-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. Circular grass and fern-covered area (diam. 26m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by a low and gapped grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 0.9-1.2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.4-0.6m), which is overlain by a field wall SE-SW. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. It was removed by c. 2015 (digitalglobe image). The church (RO026-016001-) is c. 200m to the SSE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revised upload: 15 May 2018
