Located towards the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, c. 25m E of togher (RO024-023----) and just 2m N of platform (RO024-051----). This platform (L 3.2m; Wth 2.2m; T 0.6m) was exposed on the field surface and in the drain face. It was orientated NW-SE and was composed of poorly preserved longitudinally laid roundwood and brushwood underlain by roundwood transverses. The elements were sparsely laid 0.08 to 0.52m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.065 to 0.10m and from 0.015 to 0.03m in diameter, respectively. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Calluna and Eriophorum inclusions.
