Situated in Cloonshannagh bog, c. 38m SSW of platform (RO024-044----) and c. 20m NE of platform (RO024-043----). This platform (Wth 2.46m; T 0.16m) was exposed in a drain face, 0.05m below the field surface. It was orientated E-W and was composed of moderately well preserved longitudinally laid roundwood and brushwood elements, laid 0.10 to 0.40m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.06 to 0.08m and from 0.03 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. The elements were in a moderate state of preservation where exposed in the drain face. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with frequent Eriophorum inclusions.
