What is recorded here

Located towards the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, c. 10m NNW of platform (RO024-033----) and c. 15m NW of platform (RO024-031----). The platform (L 1.6m; Wth 3.05m; T 0.65m) was visible on the field surface. It was orientated NNW-SSE and was composed of poorly preserved roundwood and brushwood longitudinals. The elements are laid parallel to each other 0.01 to 0.07m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.07 to 0.10m and from 0.01 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. Two of the elements had wedge points with flat facets. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Eriophorum and Calluna inclusions.
