What is recorded here

This site was located approximately 7m SE of platform (RO024-028----) and c. 12m N of an element of togher (RO024-024----). It was visible on the field surface and in the drain face. The platform (Wth 2.8m; T 0.3m) was orientated NE-SW and was composed of moderately preserved regularly laid roundwood and brushwood longitudinals. The elements were parallel and densely laid, 0.02 to 0.28m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.08 to 0.11m and from 0.03 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. The peat was composed of poorly humified Sphagnum-rich peat with moderate Eriophorum and Calluna inclusions. Compiled by: Ros O Maoldúin/Michael Moore Date of upload: 14th April, 2011
