Situated on a slight rise in a low-lying level landscape at the W foot of a NNE-SSW ridge, with a S-N section of the Scramoge River just to the W. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 31m NNE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 3.5m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 0.9m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 4.5m; ext. D 0.2m) SE-SW with slight traces of a low bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.2m) N-ENE (L c. 15m) but the edges of the monument have been removed at E and W. An entrance is not identified.
