At the crest of an E-facing slope. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 29.8m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.4-7.7m; int. H 0.1-0.6m; ext. H 1.3m at S to 2.2m at W) and outer fosse (Wth of top 5.6-6m; Wth of base 1.8-2.6m; D 0.5-0.9m) which has been extended into ponds at SW (dims 16m x 6m) and NW (dims 12m x 6m). The modernised entrance (Wth 3m) and causeway (Wth 6m) are at SSE. Rath (RO023-173----) is c. 210m to the N and rath (RO023-175----) is c. 90m to the SW.
