What is recorded here

On a gentle E-facing slope. Subcircular or D-shaped grass-covered area used as a haggard (dims 65.2m NE-SW; 58m NW-SE) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.4-4.6m; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 0.7m) E-S-N, which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) N-E and incorporated into a field boundary S-W, and a complete fosse (Wth of top 3.8-4.7m; Wth of base 2.4-2.8m; D 0.2-0.6m) which is re-cut as a drain S-W. The original entrance is not identified, while the perimeter at NW and parts of the interior have been quarried. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
