On a gentle S-facing slope in a low-lying landscape. D-shaped grass and scrub-covered area (dims 51m E-W; 39.6m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 5-6m; int. H 0.4-0.5m; ext. H 1.5-1.7m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 5.5m; Wth of base 1.9-3.2m; D 0.6-1.2m) E-S-W and by a scarp (H 1.6m) at N where the monument was truncated by an E-W field bank and townland boundary with Carrownagullagh which is c. 3m distant from the scarp. There is no identifiable original entrance. The bank is incorporated into a field bank and the fosse re-cut as a drain E-SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
