What is recorded here

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the crest of a low E-W ridge. Described as a rath defined by an earthen bank and outer fosse (Gannon 1972), it is not now visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture. Rath (RO023-090----) is c. 35m to the S, and earthwork (RO023-088----) is c. 140m to the N. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
