What is recorded here

On a gentle E-facing slope in a low-lying landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 48m E-W; 46m N-S) defined by an overgrown and partly poached earthen bank (at E: Wth 4.4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.9m; at W: Wth 7.6m; int. 1.2m; ext. H 1.8m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5.5-7.2m; Wth of base 2.2-2.5m; D 1.4m at N to 3m at W) from an outer bank (Wth 4.5-6.1m; ext. H 1.2m) SSW-N-SE. There is an entrance through the inner (Wth 2.5m) and outer (Wth 3.5m) banks with a causeway (Wth 3m) at SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
