On a slight rise in a low-lying position on an undulating landscape. Described as a subcircular area (dims. 32m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by a fosse and outer earthen bank which had an entrance at E (Gannon 1972). It is now visible as a circular platform (diam. c. 32m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (H 0.5-1m N-W to 1.6m at S).
