On a flat, low-lying landscape. A peninsula (dims c. 200m NW-SE; c. 80m NE-SW) with many bays and hummocks projects NW from the S shore of Clooncullaan Lough North (dims c. 600m E-W; c. 150m N-S at W to c. 300m N-S at E).
