What is recorded here

On a gentle W-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 31m NW-SE; 24m NE-SW) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2-3m; int. H 0.2-0.7m; ext. H 1m) SE-SW which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.5-0.9m) elsewhere, and a rounded fosse (Wth of top 10-14m; Wth of base 6.5-8m; D 0.1-0.6m) SE-SW and at NNE (Wth of base 5m; D 0.1m). There is no visible entrance, but the N part of the interior is overlain by a NW-SE road, and a NE-SW field bank bisects the SW part. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
