On a slight rise in an undulating landscape. Oval grass-covered area (dims 65.6m NNE-SSW; 51.7m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3.5m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.6-1.1m generally to 1.5m at S). The flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 6.2m; D 0.1m) survives S-WSW, but the original entrance cannot be recognised. It is bisected by a WNW-ESE relict field bank.
