On the outer edge of a shelf on a gentle N-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area with potato ridges (dims 27.1m NNE-SSW; 23.3m WNW-ESE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.2-3m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.8-1.6m), with a slight external berm (Wth 0.8m) at the base of the bank NNW-SE. There is a complete outer flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 2.2-3.7m; D 0.1-0.3m), which may have been re-cut (Wth of base 1.7m) NNW-E, creating an outer bank (Wth c. 5m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.1m) NNW-E. The original entrance cannot be identified, but there is a rectangular house-site (RO021-056002-) (int. dims 7.5m E-W; 3m N-S) abutting the inside of the bank at S defined by earthen banks (Wth 1.5-3m; H 0.1-0.3m) with an entrance (Wth 2.3m) at N. The rath bank is quarried at SW, and there is a quarry inside the perimeter at W.
