On a broad E-W ridge or shelf. Rectangular grass and rush-covered area (dims 44m WNW-ESE; 31.8m NNE-SSW) defined by earthen banks (Wth 2-3m; int. H 0.3-0.5m; ext. H 0.9-1.2m) and outer flat-bottomed moats (Wth of top 6-7m; Wth of base 2.6-4m; max. D 0.3m). There is an entrance (Wth 1.7m) and causeway (Wth 6m) at the centre of the E side. Moated site (RO021-034----) is c. 80m to the WSW.
