What is recorded here

On a W-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered mound (dims of top 34.8m E-W; 31.1m N-S; dims of base 36m E-W; 37.4m N-S; H 1.8m at E to 3.2m at W) which is largely natural, surrounded by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 4.5-7m; D 0.2m at N to 0.8m at S) SE-W-E, and an outer bank (at S: Wth 4m; ext. H 0.3m) SE-W. There is no identifiable original entrance, but the edge of the mound is cut back (L 15.6m) at SE (max. ext. dims 51m N-S; 50m E-W).
