Located in improved pasture towards the bottom of the S-facing slope of a low drumlin. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a low D-shaped rise (dims c. 60m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by a scarp (at S: Wth 2.2m; H 0.2m) NE-E-SSW, which is truncated by N-S field bank and hedge at W and by an E-W field bank and hedge at N. There is a fosse (at S: Wth of top 4.6m; Wth of base 1.5m; D 0.05m) E-SSW and there are slight traces of a rush-filled fosse NW-NNW in the field to the W, but there is no visible entrance. The original monument could have a diameter of about 80m.
