What is recorded here

On a shelf towards the E end of the N-facing slope of an E-W drumlin ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 31.5m N-S, 29.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (at WNW: Wth 5m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.5m; at NE: Wth 7m; int. H 1.8m; ext. H 2.3m), and an outer fosse (Wth of base 3.5-4m; D 0.3-0.8m) SE-W-NE. There is no visible entrance. Earthwork (RO017-157----) is c. 80m to the WNW, and rath (RO017-159----) is c. 170m to the ENE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
