At the bottom of a S-facing slope of a drumlin and on the N shore of an isolated bay (dims c. 700m NW-SE; c. 250-450m NE-SW) of Grange Lough that is now separated from the main lake to the E. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 30m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.6-0.7m; ext. H 1.1-1.2m) and hedge NW-E-SE, which is reduced to a scarp and hedge (at W: H 1.2m) elsewhere, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.6m at N to 6.45m at S; Wth of base 2.6m at E to 2.9m at N; D 0.8-0.9m), which is re-cut as a field drain SE-W-NW.
