Near the middle of triangular Lough Elia a triangular lake (dims. c. 500m N-S; c. 200m E-W at N to c. 450m N-W at S). Circular overgrown island (diam. 20m) of earth and stones (H 1-1.5m). A collapsed wooden palisade is visible offshore N-E. Artefacts including decorated bone, bone combs and a whetstone are recorded from this site (Kelly 1895, 180). Crannog (RO017-190----) is c. 250m to the SE.
