What is recorded here

About 50m from the N shore of triangular Dooneen Lough (dims. c. 500m E-W; c. 200m N-S at W). Subcircular overgrown area (dims. 21.5m E-W; 17m N-S) constructed of earth and stone, with a raised central mound (diam. 16m; H 1-1.3m). Horizontal timbers and vertical posts are visible underwater around the perimeter SE-N. See the attached aerial view taken from the NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
