At the crest of an E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 31m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5-8m; int. H 0.3m at SW to 0.8m at NNW; ext. H 0.3m at SW to 0.8m at NNW) and hedge SW-N which is reduced to an overgrown scarp (H 1m) N-E and incorporated into a field bank and hedge E-SW, with an outer fosse (Wth of base 4m; D 0.3m) SW-W. There is no visible entrance. A possible house site (RO017-034002-), visible as a flat rise adjoining the inside of the bank at N in 1980 (SMR file), is not visible now at ground level. Rath (RO017-033----) is c. 170m to the NE.
