What is recorded here

On a level landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 57m N-S; 54m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.4m) N-NE which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.3m) elsewhere, separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5m at SW to 7m at W; Wth of base 3.5m generally to 5m at S) from an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 5.8-7.5m; int. H 0.6-1.5m; ext. H 0.6-1.5m). There is a second fosse (Wth of base 3.7-4.5m; D 0.2m) at SW and N-E, which is also visible as a band of lush vegetation (Wth 3m) SW-NW. A third outer bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) survives NE-ENE, but there is no visible entrance. A NE-SW field bank truncates all the features at SE except the central platform.
