What is recorded here

On a low-lying, level landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 44.5m E-W; 43.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 3.7m at N to 5.5m at W; int. H 0.4-0.95m; ext. H 1.2-1.7m) SE-W-N which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.7m) elsewhere, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 2.8m at N to 3.75m at S; D 0.15m at S to 0.6m at N) SE-W-N. The stone-lined entrance (Wth 3.8m) is at SE, and a stream or drain circumscribes the perimeter NE-SE. Rath (RO017-006----) is c. 160m to the E.
