on a gentle N-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 41m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-3.2m; int. H 0.2-0.45m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m) NNE-S-NW and elsewhere by a scarp (H 0.9m), with an outer fosse (Wth of top 2.4-3.2m; Wth of base 1.8-2.6m; D 0.1-0.2m) which is truncated by an E-W field bank at N. An entrance (Wth 5.5m) at ENE may be the enlarged original entrance. Rath (RO017-206----) is c. 180m to the SW.
