On a broad plateau. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 26.4m NW-SE; 25.3m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 7-10m generally to 12m at SE; int. H 0.6m at SE to 1.3m at SW; ext. H 1.6m at SE to 2.2m at SW) separated by a fosse (Wth of base 5.5-8m; D 0.5m) NE-S-WNW from an outer bank (Wth 5-6m; ext. H 0.3m) SSW-WNW. There is an entrance (Wth 1.8m) in the inner bank, but no causeway, at SW. An electricity pylon is built in the fosse at NNE, and a road bank circumscribes the fosse SE-SW. Rath (RO016-120----) is c. 170m to the N and concentric enclosure (RO022-030----) is c. 170m to the SSE.
