What is recorded here

On a gentle E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 30.5m N-S) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 2m at W to 3.7m at E (downslope); int. H 0.1m at E to 0.55m at SW; ext. H 0.5m at W to 1.3m at E) SW-NW and E-SE, and elsewhere by a scarp (H 0.5m at S to 0.95m at N), with an outer fosse (Wth of base 2-3.2m; D 0.2m) at SE and SW, represented by a band of wet ground (Wth 2m) E-S-NW. There is no visible entrance. Rath (RO016-100----) is c. 90m to the S and rath (RO016-073----) is c. 180m to the ESE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
