Situated on a level landscape. Archaeological monitoring (09E0051) of the laying of a sewer pipe on the outskirts of Frenchpark recorded a burnt mound (L c. 7m; max. T 0.4m) in section c. 0.5m beneath a road surface. A sample of wood that is likely to be oak produced a C14 date of 2580-2349 cal. BC. The mound (RO015-027----) is c. 105m to the SW. (Ruttle 2011; Taylor 2012b)
