Marked similarly on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and described in gothic lettering as 'Tobernavean' meaning the bird's well on both. Situated on level ground at the source of the Carricnabraher River which flows off to the E and N. This is a rectangular well (dims 1m NNE-SSW; 0.85m WNW-ESE) defined by concrete walls (T 0.2m) with a gate on the N side. There is a pump-house nearby.
