What is recorded here

On a steep N-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims 55m E-W; 41.8m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at E: Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.6; ext. H 1.1m; at W: Wth 5.4m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.5m) separated by a complete rounded fosse (Wth of top 5-6m; Wth of base 2.8-3.4m; D 0.2m at N to 0.7m at W) from an outer bank (at W: Wth 5.5m; ext. H 0.3m) which only survives SSW-NNW. There are entrances in the inner bank at SW (Wth 1.1m) and NE (Wth 2m). Souterrain (RO014-049002-) is inside the bank at S, but a hut-site (RO014-049003-) at the centre (Gannon 1972) cannot be seen now. The monument is traversed by a NNE-SSW farm track, and a N-S field wall overlies it towards the perimeter at W. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
