On the E bank of the S-N River Lung. Rectangular grass-covered platform (dims 18.2m N-S; 14.8m E-W; H 1-1.4m) defined by a flat-bottomed and reed-filled moat (Wth of top 5-6.3m; Wth of base 3.5-4m; D 0.6-1m) with an outer bank (Wth of base 4.5-7.9m; Wth of top 2-4.9m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m) on all sides except the W where a berm (Wth 10m) separates all the features from the river. There is an outer flat-bottomed moat (Wth of top 6.4m; Wth of base 4.3m; D 0.5m) and a length of outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.2m; L 11m) at E, and spoil has been added to the bank at S. The mound (RO014-079----) is c. 40m to the N, on the N side of a small SE-NW stream. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 29th September, 2010
