What is recorded here

Located in improved pasture on a slight SSE-facing slope. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 24m NE-SW; c. 22m NW-SE) defined by a slight earthen bank (at WSW: Wth of base 7.8m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.15m) ESE-S-NW but it merges into the slope elsewhere, The perimeter is slightly truncated at E by a N-S filed bank, now removed and evident as a green moss cropmark. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 12 May 2015
