What is recorded here

Located in improved pasture toward the top of a slight SW-facing slope. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a circular area (diam. 22m NE-SW; 20m NW-SE) defined by a low scarp which is best preserved (at N: Wth 1.8m; H 0.15m) SSW-N-ENE. There are traces of a fosse (at N: Wth of top 4.7m; Wth of base Wth 1.4m; D 0.15m) N-SE. The perimeter is respected by a field bank and hedge that curve around it SW-NW. There is no visible entrance.
