What is recorded here

Situated on a small NE-SW ridge, with the rath (RO011-118----) immediately to the SW. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a circular or slightly D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 28m NW-SE; 26m NE-SW) defined by a complete scarp which is best preserved (at SE: Wth 3m; H 0.5m) SE-SSW. The perimeter has been straightened SW-NW where a vehicle track separates it from rath (RO01-118----). There is no visible fosse or entrance. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 12 May, 2015
