Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of the N-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge. Rectangular grass-covered area (dims 33.2m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1m) at S, a field bank at N and earthen banks at W (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m) and E (Wth 3.45m; int. H 0.3m; ext. 0.65m). There is an outer fosse or moat (Wth of base 6.75m; D 0.25m) and outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.25m) at W. Rath (RO011-111001-) is c. 80m to the NW.
