On a terrace overlooking the S bank of the W-E Killukin River, c. 30m to the N. Oval grass-covered area (dims 40.5m N-S; 33m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.64m at E to 5.65m at S; int. H 0.4m at E to 1.1m at S; ext. H 1.1m at E to 1.45m at S) NNE-E-SSW and a scarp (H 0.8-0.9m) elsewhere, with an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.5-1.8m; D 0.05-0.4m) SW-N-SE. The stone-revetted entrance (Wth 2.75m) is at SE. Cashel (RO011-091----) is c. 120m to the SW.
