Situated in rough pasture, just above the shoreline of Lough Edin, which is c. 60m to the E. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. It appears on the image as an oval feature (dims c. 45m N-S; c. 30m E-W), but only a scarp (at E: Wth 4m; H 0.6m) is visible N-E-S.
