Situated on the summit of Inishatirra Island (diam. c. 340-390m) in Lough Eidin. A rectangular enclosure or annexe (dims 26m NW-SE; 22m NE-SW) defined by scarps (H 0.3m) and fosses (Wth of base 1.3-2.6m; ext. D 0.1m) at SW and NW is attached to the moated site (RO007-084001-), which is just to the NE. The enclosure has a bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.6m), fosse (Wth of base 1m; ext. D 0.8m), and outer field bank defining the perimeter at SE.
