On the N-facing slope of a ridge, in an area of rock-outcrop. Grass-covered irregularly-shaped and rectangular fields defined by scarps, stone spreads and low earthen banks originally covered an area of c. 35 ha. Quarrying has removed the W and NW parts of this field system reducing t to c. 25 acres (c. 10ha). Two cashels (RO006-131001-; RO006-131003-) survive within it.
