In a dry, flat low-lying landscape within an area of rock-outcrop. Irregularly-shaped grass-covered fields defined by collapsed drystone walls (Wth 2-3m; H 0.1-0.4m) cover an area of c. 2 ha. Cashel (RO006-060001-) is at the S edge of this area with some field walls attaching to the perimeter at W, NW and E, but much of the area has been quarried.
