On a peninsula jutting SW from the N shore of Lough Meelagh (dims. c. 2 km E-W; c. 600m-1 km N-S). Oval area (dims. 50m ENE-WSW; 31m NNW-SSE) in a mature deciduous wood protected by an earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H c. 1m) and outer fosse (Wth of top 6.5m; D 0.2-0.4m) across the isthmus (L 21m) at E. There is no visible entrance or any internal features. St Lassar's Well (RO004-002002-) is c. 140m to the ESE.
