On a low natural rise in upland area with standing stone (OF043-073) immediately to the N. Circular flat topped mound (H 1.7m; top diam. 9.5m N-S; 9.4m E-W) enclosed by a wide flat bottomed fosse (Wth 2.5 - 3m; ext. D 1m) with slight traces of an external bank (Wth 2.5m) best preserved at N. Evidence of stone kerbing at base of mound best preserved from W to N. Immediately to the N there is an upright triangular shaped standing stone (OF043-073) which by its close association may be contemporary with the ring-barrow. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
