Situated on SE facing slope of low natural rise in upland area overlooking river to the E. Raised circular area (diam 17m E-W approx.) enclosed by earthen bank and shallow external fosse with no evidence of an entrance feature. Interior covered in field clearance debris making detailed examination impossible. Possibly a small ringfort. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
